The spoiler embargo has finally been lifted now that Nika has returned from Japan so the crew enlists the help of friend of the show Ethys Asher to lend his expertise and discuss Heavensward lore and story up to Patch 3.3. This week marked the launch of Pokemon Go and, surprisingly, the whole crew including Nate have been diligently filling out their Pokedex's. While we will certainly have a full episode about Pokemon Go coming up, this covers our initial reactions to what is certainly the most popular phone game ever released. Other headlines include Street Fighter V's EVO tournament being broadcast on ESPN2, Blizzard is suing a well known cheat maker, and YouTuber MatPat gives a copy of Undertale to The Pope for it's themes of mercy. For our discussion this week: Game of Thrones! We talk about the dramatic 6th season of the show, the revelations it brought to light and some fan theories about the story's future direction. Is Tyrion also a Targaryan? What is the Curse of King Robert? Is Varys a merman? Find out on today's show!

This week the show is down a Femroe, but Kallo has returned! First thing is first, Juxta Position undergoes his first annual job review. Plus, the crew wades through more calls about the Jump potion and even three shows on callers bring up some interest points. Finally, the hosts take a retrospective look at the evolution of content in FFXIV from 1.0 til now and what trends have emerged, vanished and what to expect in the future.

This episodes news articles include some pretty controversial topics including one PSN user who was banned for using his ‘first name’ in his account name, two (possible three or four) lawsuits and Twitches new ‘Social Eating’ channel. Nate also grabs an amazing interview with Eckehard Stier conductor from the Final Symphony and gives out some free tickets. Also on the show today, the community continues to react to the concept of a jumping potion. The crew takes nearly an hours worth of calls from the community regarding this proposed feature. Today on Final Encounter Cast we look back at E3 2016 and talk to our producer Kooky Persona who was out at E3 2016 about what it was like to be at the biggest gaming trade show of the year, her hand-on experiences with games out there and developer interviews. We hear about games such as Killbox, The Surge, and Fate/Extella: The Umbral Star and get introduced to Graysun Morales, editor for WTF Gamers Only. We also let you know about an upcoming contest to win tickets to Final Symphony at the Davies Symphony Hall in San Francisco.

In the wake of E3, everyone is still digesting the news from all sources and after an epic three day marathon of conference after conference, the FEC crew takes a step back and allows Nika to go full Weeb on one of her passions, Anime. But all is not well in the Kingdom of Encounters Final. Robbie fights tooth and nail to make sure it's known just how much he despises the Animes. What side will Nate and Kali take? With the release of the Patch 3.3 Trailer, we are able to glean a bit more about what to expect in Revenge of the Horde. The biggest clues come in the form of the few sneak peaks of the Main Storyline Quest. The crew theorize and discuss what the end of the Dragonsong War could look like and what it means going forward. Plus, they talk a bit about what kinds of plot twists they'd like to see in FFXIV, but likely never will.

A few days ago MancZombie tweeted out their thoughts onthe topic of "mansplaining" and Notch, creator of the wildly popular Minecraft, responded in kind with his own thoughts. As it always does, a spark ignited a twitter conflict that resulted in the greatest pun slam of all time. That’s all you really need to know right? With Patch 3.3 looming on the horizon, the crew starts to dissect what we can expect on patch day. The treasure hunting event Aquapolis takes a front seat in the discussion as Kallo voices concerns about the finality and originality of certain aspects. Aniero expresses disinterest for the new dungeons and the crew in general throws praise at older design philosophies. In an unexpected turn of events, Nika calls out the guys and gets triggered which prompts a massive blowout between her and the guys. Plus, a long lost figure of mystery appears...who could it be?
