Nac comes on my show to visit different events in town that we find fun and interesting. Conventions, Pinball Tournaments, Gaming, Baraoke.  We love Nerding out together to discuss what is happening around town.  This was my first convention, and the Fonz, the bully from Christmas Story, and Tom Savini all managed to do some plugs for me.  Not a bad time at all. 

Trundle Manor is easily one of the strangest places in Pittsburgh, Pa.  Join me as I take the tour of this unique place in Pittsburgh, Pa.  

I grew up loving puzzles and games, and I still do. When I heard about an interactive puzzle in Pittsburgh, I had to have the owners on the show.  Well, first I had to go through the puzzle to see if my group could beat it. I love picking up different things to do in cities while I travel, the stranger the better.  Joe and Cory Deasy found something similar in Budapest, and brought the idea back here to Pittsburgh.  Ahh the glory of traveling!  Now their idea has taken hold, and is becoming THE spot for friends and family to challege themselves against the clock, to beat the Prison, and the Laboratory in under 60 minutes.  Imagine you start off handcuffed. That is all I am telling you. Tune in, and hear more about what their plans are,and how they came up with this amazing idea, as walk you through ESCAPE ROOM PGH.  I can't wait to try another one soon!!!

Tom is a very interesting local author who wrote the novel Tomorrow and Tomorrow.   I was so lucky to have him on the show to chat about his method for writing, and some of his upcoming projects.  He was so kind to sit in on my book club, and answer questions about the book.  Being able to pick an author's brain is a very amazing thing.  Seeing how they worked out the writing, the characters and plot, and put everything together.  It blows my mind.  I hope you enjoy, and I hope you pick up a copy for yourself as well. I am a huge fan of boardgames.  My ideal evening involves hanging out with close friends, having some snacks, wine, good conversation, and playing boardgames.  Most people I admit to this, look at me like I have been stunted at age 10. (Which actually may be true)  They hear boardgames and they think the standards, Monopoly, Trivia Pursuit, Life...  All of which i personally hate, by the way.  Monopoly- the game in which you end up despising your friends and family, the deal making game.  Trivia Pursuit- Pop Quiz asshole!  What you don't remember some history tidbit from Bystantine Period?  The game designed to make you feel stupid.  Life-  See what job you should have had?  Come on?  You don't have 8 children and an aspiring career as a hedge fund manager?  FAILURE.   Games are no longer what you pull out at awkard family ggatherings to pass the time away.  They are events, social communication connections, brain builders, creative outlets.  I wanted to feature different games on this podcast to show off not

Mike is one of my favorite bartenders in Pittsburgh.  I proposed to him to do a series of podcasts featuring his advice on making craft cocktails, and vintage cocktails that people at home can learn from. He gives great advice on techniques, tips and tricks that will for sure step up your entertaining game. This is the longest podcast I have recorded even after editing, just because we had a ton to chat about, and had a blast talking. We will be doing a series of these, so stay tuned for the next podcast with him, which will be featuring holiday cocktails. I enjoyed it so much, and I hope you do too!
