Apple Stands Firm Against US Government, Refuses to Crack San Bernardino Killer's iPhone
18/02/2016 Duración: 38minApple is thus far rejecting a judge's order to help the FBI hack into the iPhone of one of the San Bernardino shooters, calling the action "an overreach by the U.S. government." A public letter released February 16th from Apple CEO Tim Cook warns that building "a backdoor to the iPhone" would open not just the phone but also a Pandora's box that would be "something we consider too dangerous to create." The order is that Apple enter Passcodes by cable/PC, disable the wipe-after-10-tries feature, remove the timeout between attempts, and somehow install the software to make this possible onto a locked iPhone 5C. The question is: if Apple can be ordered to install something on any locked phone what else can they be ordered to install? And what other countries could order Apple to install the same "Master Key"? China? Russia? And once it's known that Apple possesses this capability, mightn't it then be misused by anyone (including any foreign government) that knows—or can figure out—how to exploit it?

The Briefest Moments Mean So Much: Enterprise Wearables with Sr. Mobile Strategist Glenn Gruber
18/02/2016 Duración: 38minJoining me today is Propelics Sr. Mobile Strategist Glenn Gruber. Glenn recently spoke at the 1st ever Glance Conference in San Francisco where he discussed the impact Apple Watch will have in the Enterprise in years to come. You can check out his blog post about it on the Propelics website. We’ve got him here today to talk about the Glance Conference, the Apple Watch, and the state of Enterprise wearables in general. Plus a little bit about Star Trek as well as the role screen size plays in all this. Does it matter? And if so, how? Tune in to find out. What were the big takeaways? Well, the truth is no one’s really sure what to make of the Watch—not even a room full of really smart people. There’s no really big use case anyone can point to. In fact, my own informal research (i.e. talking to Watch-wearing strangers while in TSA security lines or waiting to board a plane) has revealed that while everybody loves their Watch—Wristly’s research shows a 97% customer satisfaction rating—this love is comprised of a

A Day in the Life with Mobile Strategist Nitin Bhatia
16/02/2016 Duración: 47minIronic as it may seem in an age of virtual reality, there is no more efficient, accurate way to design and build an enterprise mobile app that best accommodates real-world usage than through old-school face-to-face Q & A. Because despite all that mobile can do to simplify and streamline enterprise processes, a great divide still remains between how Corporate assumes its employees are going about their daily tasks versus how work actually gets done. Propelics’ Day in the Life bridges this gap and generates a complete, accurate picture of real-world user requirements. Over the course of a Day in the Life session, our strategists interview the app’s intended users and physically trail them as they perform their daily tasks, being sure to record every relevant detail—whether that means accompanying drivers on a ride-along, taking a factory tour, or simply sitting with operators as they interact with customers over the phone. Mobile Strategist Nitin Bhatia discusses the Propelics approach to contextual observa
