In an unknown location, Fish Mooney is strapped to a stretcher where Falcone's top servant Bob will be in charge of torturing her. Bullock introduces Gordon to Arnold Flass. The three meet with a night janitor named Leon Winkler who was a witness in a public homicide. When at the police station, Winkler is visited by a mysterious person who kills him. Edward Nygma states that the weapon used on Winkler was an ice pick. Gordon suspects that a cop is behind this as Sarah Essen tells him not to take action without her say-so. Upon returning from Switzerland, Bruce Wayne and Alfred Pennyworth encounter Ivy Pepper who has been sent to carry a message to Selina Kyle. Gilzean manages to free himself and severely beats Bob, then frees Fish Mooney. In the archives, Flass mocks Nygma's crush on Kristen Kringle. Gordon visits Cobblepot at the nightclub, where he meets Cobblepot's mother, Gertrud. Gordon asks Cobblepot if he has any information about Flass. Victor Zsasz finds Bob and kills him before informing Falcone. B

While home, Dr. Wells receives a threatening call from an unidentified person before having to use super speed to move out of the way of his glass ceiling shattering around him. Wells informs Barry and the team that the caller was Hartley Rathaway, a former protégé. Hartley begins attacking his family's business with sonic blasts, and when Barry arrives to stop him Hartley reveals that he knows the secret Dr. Wells is hiding. Dr. Wells reveals that Hartley warned him that the particle accelerator could explode ahead of time, but Wells chose to risk it for the potential rewards. Cisco discovers that Hartley intentionally got caught so he steal information from S.T.A.R. Labs' computer that would allow him to identify the frequency of Barry's molecules so he can kill him. Barry triggers a trap set by Hartley, which starts shredding Barry's organs. Dr. Wells taps into a satellite and sends an alternative frequency to disable Hartley's weapons. Melissa Benoist got her break when she was cast as a female lead in the William McKinley High School storyline on Glee when most of the Fox dramedy’s original stars saw their characters either move to New York or leave the show. Based on the characters from DC Comics, the project, from Warner Bros. TV and studio-based Berlanti Prods., centers on Kara Zor-El (Benoist). Born on the planet Krypton, Kara Zor-El escaped amid its destruction years ago. Since arriving on Earth, she’s been hiding the powers she shares with her famous cousin, Superman. But now at age 24, she decides to embrace her superhuman abilities and be the hero she was always meant to be. THE TEAM DEALS WITH OLIVER’S DISAPPEARANCE — In the aftermath of Oliver’s (Stephen Amell) fight with Ra’s al Ghul (Matt Nable), Diggle (David Ramsey) and Arsenal (Colton Haynes) continue to protect the city in the Arrow’s absence. However, after three days without hearing from Oliver, they begin to fear the worst may have happened to their friend. Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) refuses to believe that Oliver could be dead until Merlyn (John Barrowman) pays the team a surprise visit. Thea (Willa Holland) suspects there is something more behind Oliver’s disappearance and asks Merlyn for a favor. Meanwhile, Ray (Brandon Routh) tests a part of his new suit and Laurel (Katie Cassidy) takes up the mantle of the Black Canary. Jack Gruber and Aaron Helzinger escape from Arkham Asylum and are on a rampage through Gotham. James Gordon promises the Commissioner he will arrest Gruber within 24 hours and he is reinstated as a detective for that time. Edward Nygma tells Gordon and Bullock that Jack Gruber is an alias of Jack Buchinsky, a former bank robber for the mafia who was betrayed by Salvatore Maroni. Fish Mooney makes her move against Falcone and "abducts" Liza. Gordon and Bullock put Maroni under protective custody to use as bait to attract Buchinsky to the police station. Falcone discovers that Mooney is behind Liza's abduction, and is offered a deal. Falcone is to sign his crime family over to Mooney's gang in exchange for the opportunity for him and Liza to leave for Italy. Buchinsky attacks the police station in search of Maroni. Gordon, protected by rubber boots provided by Nygma, is immune to the initial attack and thwarts Buchinsky's bomb. Before Falcone goes through with the deal, Cobblepot informs him that Liza was alway

As Barry works on improving his speed through various training exercises, Leonard Snart returns to Central City with the freeze gun and a new partner, Mick Rory, to set a trap for the Flash. Barry discovers his plan, and agrees with Dr. Wells to not engage Snart in the hope that he goes away and no one gets hurt like the last time. When the Flash fails to show, Snart and Rory, who now has a gun that can emit absolute hot temperatures, kidnap Caitlin to force Barry out of hiding. Cisco and Barry realize that if they can get Snart and Rory to cross the streams of their respective weapons it will cancel out the effects. The Flash meets Snart and Rory in the middle of a city for a showdown, exposing himself to the media. After multiple failed attempts, Barry eventually gets them to cross the streams with Eddie's help, successfully damaging the weapons and disabling the criminal pair. While in transport to Iron Heights Prison, Snart and Rory are broken out by Snart's sister. Meanwhile, Caitlin investigates the cau

James Gordon, reassigned to guard duty at Arkham Asylum, investigates attacks on prisoners with the help of Dr. Leslie Thompkins (Morena Baccarin). Selina Kyle finds a sick Ivy Pepper and takes her to Gordon's penthouse to recuperate. Meanwhile, Mooney discusses her plan to overthrow Don Falcone with Falcone family underboss Jimmy Saviano who was angered by Falcone's tribute raise. However, Saviano disagrees with Mooney's plan to become the de facto head of the family as he is next in the line of succession. Gordon asks Harvey Bullock for help with his investigation and Bullock interrogates Arkham's Director Dr. Gerry Lang (Isiah Whitlock, Jr.). Oswald Cobblepot and an unnamed accomplice are arrested by the police for trying to buy the loyalty of some dock workers on Sal Maroni's payroll.

Dr. Wells returns to his secret room, where it is revealed that he has been documenting Barry's growing abilities, and using his computer to look at events in the future. Barry arrives at a crime scene where the victim was murdered via electrocution, and charred beyond all recognition, suggesting a metahuman was involved. While investigating the victims identity, the team identifies a power drain in the city. When Barry arrives, he is attacked by Farooq Gibran, a man who has the ability to siphon electrical energy. The attack drains Barry of his speed, and when Wells checks his secret computer it reveals that there are no references to Barry or "The Flash" in the future, and thus the timeline is in danger of temporal paradox. Wells believes that Barry's body just needs an electrical jumpstart, and Farooq arrives at the lab while the team is attempting to help Barry.

Assassins led by Copperhead infiltrate Wayne Manor, but Alfred fends them off, allowing Bruce and Selina to escape. Alfred seeks Gordon and Bullock help to find the pair. Cobblepot tells Maroni that there is a mole working for him. Dent suspects Dick Lovecraft hired the assassins. Falcone kills his operative Bannion for failing to guard the armory. Selina tells Bruce that the assassins were after her, not him and leads him to an underground area used as a mall for street kids. They see Ivy Pepper, who tells Selina that her fence Clyde is operating in the Narrows. Gordon finds Lovecraft, who claims those after Selina are also after him and gives Gordon some files about the Wayne Enterprise stocks. The two are attacked by the same assassins who kill Lovecraft and knock Gordon unconscious. Bruce and Selina visit Clyde, only to be grabbed by his associates. The assassins arrive to claim Selina, but she knocks one out, just as Bullock and Alfred arrive. Copperhead stalks Bruce, demanding to know where Selina is. C

RA’S AL GHUL GIVES OLIVER AN ULTIMATUM; DINAH LANCE PAYS LAUREL A VISIT — Nyssa (guest star Katrina Law) returns to Starling City and tells Oliver (Stephen Amell) that her father, Ra’s al Ghul (guest star Matt Nable) has given Oliver 48 hours to find Sara’s killer or the League of Assassins will start killing the citizens of Starling City. Laurel (Katie Cassidy) is stunned when her father (Paul Blackthorne) delivers a very special Christmas gift – her mother, Dinah (guest star Alex Kingston). Meanwhile, Ray (Brandon Routh) tries to make amends with Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) and Oliver sets a meeting with Ra’s al Ghul. The metahuman that killed Barry's mother returns, killing two guards at Mercury Labs in search of the company's work in tachyon particles. Barry witnesses the man in yellow, and engages in a high speed fight around the city. The man in yellow insinuates to Barry that they know each other before speeding off. Meanwhile, Eddie asks Iris to move in with him and Ronnie is revealed to have survived the particle accelerator explosion, but does not remember who he is and has the ability to burst into flames. Barry confesses his love for Iris before the police and S.T.A.R. Labs use the tachyon particle technology as bait to lure the man in yellow into trap. The man in yellow escapes and attacks Dr. Wells and the police before engaging in a second fight with Barry. Ronnie appears and blasts the man with flames before both flee the scene. Later, Dr. Wells enters his secret room and unveils the same yellow suit as the man that they captured, placing the stolen tachyon technology on the suit's chest.

Oliver and Roy track down the home of Digger Harkness, a boomerang-wielding murderer, but they only find A.R.G.U.S. operatives looking for the same man. S.T.A.R. Labs' Dr. Caitlin Snow and Cisco Ramon arrive in Starling City to help Felicity analyze DNA from the arrow that killed Sara. Digger attempts to kill Lyla; Roy and Oliver arrive to stop him, but need assistance from Barry Allen, who uses his super speed to stop a couple of boomerangs from killing Oliver. Later, Lyla reveals Digger was part of the Suicide Squad, and Oliver agrees to allow Barry to assist in the investigation. Oliver's interrogation tactics lead Barry to question how emotionally stable Oliver is. The team track Digger's location, but it turns out to be a ruse that allows Digger to trace their hideout, where he wounds Lyla before being forced to run away. In order to escape, Digger plants 5 bombs around the city. While Oliver captures Digger, Barry uses the rest of the team to defuse the bombs at the same time. Flashbacks to Hong Kong sh

A new metahuman, Roy Bivolo, shows up with the ability to send people into an uncontrollable rage, and uses his ability to rob the Central City bank. The police track him to a warehouse, where he uses his abilities on a cop to facilitate his escape. Barry arrives in time to save Joe, but is almost injured himself before Oliver, as the "Arrow", arrives to stop the cop. Later, Oliver informs Barry that they are tracking a Starling City killer who uses razor sharp boomerangs. Barry and Oliver agree to team-up and catch each other's targets. Oliver tries to teach Barry to be more mindful of his surroundings, but Barry decides to go after Bivolo by himself. Bivolo uses his abilities on Barry, but because of Barry's powers it makes the effects last longer. Oliver tries to stop Barry, and the two engage in a fight. Oliver manages to wrangle Barry long enough for Dr. Wells and Joe to use colored strobe light to reset Barry's emotional state. Afterward, Barry and Oliver capture Bivolo and place him in the prison at S.

While Dr. Wells (Tom Cavanagh) and Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) are concerned about Barry’s safety, Cisco (Carlos Valdes) comes up with a plan to take Tony down. Meanwhile, Iris’s (Candice Patton) blog on The Flash gets her into trouble, and Eddie (Rick Cosnett) witnesses Tony’s abilities firsthand and begins to ask questions that Joe (Jesse L.
