BOOM! There it is and there you have it! The finale to The Handmaid's Tale on HULU! Episode 13 "The Word" packed a huge punch...literally. We now know the fate of June and her baby. Emily finally has someone show her a kindness in Gilead, but not before leaving Auny Lydia bloodied on the floor! Serena finally comes to terms with the true nature of the world that she helped to create and learned the price for those that defy it. Meanwhile Fred learns that it's always the quiet ones you have to worry about as Rita and the Martha network save the damn day! What a great end to a great season. The Handmaid's Tale on HULU leaves us once again with no idea where the show is going. Episode 12 "Postpartum" followed up the highly emotional, very different episode "Holly" in which June gives birth to her daughter. Writer Eric Tuchman is a veteran TV writer with a history of writing for strong female characters. He brings us an episode in which things unfold and reveal the depths of the flaws in Gilead's society and the toll that it takes on all involved. "Postpartum" sets in motion events, the long term effects of which are not yet known and sets up a finale that could go in any direction. With two episodes to go in season 2 June once again finds herself in the Waterford house for tour number three. Every relationship is full of moving parts and volatile emotions as we head into the finale with more questions than answers. We finally get the answer to "Who is in the pool!?" as Eden and Isaac play star crossed lovers and end up paying the ultimate price. The Handmaid's Tale on HULU follows up one of their most intense and violent episodes with something entirely different. In S2/E11 - "Holly" we essentially get a one woman show as Elisabeth Moss absolutely puts one of the best performances of her run on The Handmaid's Tale. As June finds herself in the middle of nowhere, having just seen Hannah and Nick taken away, she steels herself and focuses on the two things she can control. Herself, and the baby. The only break in the Elisabeth Moss show comes in the form of an epic meltdown of a scene with Fred and Serena. It it small but it is mighty! Yvonne Strahovski leaves no doubts as to whether she should be at the top of all the award nomination lists as she somehow manages to plunge us further into the depths of Serena's pit of misery.
