Soon after becoming a nurse, Elise realized there were barriers for nurses to be able to both demonstrate the value they bring to healthcare and to practice to their fullest potential. This took her on a journey to study Integrative Nurse Coaching and Transpersonal Development. Today is a special day, it's my birthday!

The coolest thing about running your own biz and having your own podcast is that you get to make up the rules.   I am totally celebrating today because not only is this my 13th episode, but a week from today I will turn 47! I am overcome with gratitude and joy and have this new sense of confidence and such incredible courage that I have not truly experienced until now. It feels AMAZING. This wild journey called life is so full of possibilities and opportunities. Until recently, I didn't always see it that way. I often felt like life was happening to me, not for me.  For the last several years, I have done some serious soul searching and stretching my comfort zones and have given myself permission to the vulnerability of the "lessons". You see, you will continue to have the same lesson provided to you, until you master it. For some, this mastery takes years, others eons! I am in a much different head and heart space now. I still have days that I am angry or sad, although what would trigger me into a spiral of feeling down or feeling sorry for myself for days on end now only last for a few hours. When that occurs, I know it's just a reminder that I have strayed from my authentic self.  You have far more power between your ears and within your heart than you realize. As a recovering perfectionist, I know that when I lead from my heart, instead of my ego things always go well.  If
