This week, Chandler Yarbrough joins Marnie to discuss bipolar disorder--which is what brough them together--and one of the most fascinating and compelling urban legends that Oklahoma has to offer: the idea that John Wilkes Booth lived out his final days in Enid, Oklahoma, dying in 1903. 

One of Marnie's oldest and best friends, Whitney Willis, joins her on the couch for another episode. It's Friday the 13th, so these ghoulfriends are talking about superstitions. They define the word, talk about its origin and history, and dissect black cats (only with their words), Friday the 13th, and the evil eye. Marnie also shares a little bit about one of her personal superstitions and Whitney tells about a particular insect that seems to show up at significant times in her life.

Filmmaker Bryce Holland returns from Prague to join Marnie for a discussion about fakelore and the Oklahoma Octopus. They uncover the story behind the legend and explore other forms of fakelore like the Blair Witch, Slenderman, the Blue Whale Challenge, and Momo. Marnie also shares a story illustrating how absurd the things are that truly scare her -- spoiler alert: it involves flying monkeys.

Instagram giveaway winner, Brooke Jones (along with guest, Cheyenne Meadows) sits down at the Spy studio with Marnie to discuss a trip to the Black Jail of Guthrie, Oklahoma, which is also known as the Samaritan Cult House. They discuss the case of cult leader, Linda Greene, and the disappearance of Allen Ross. They also delve into the haunted aspect of the Black Jail's history. 

This week, Allie Summerfield joins Marnie in the studio for an episode about two stories connected by one thing: witchcraft. They explore the fire of '46 that contributed to the Kitchen Lake witch legend, discuss the eerie nature of the Parallel Forest, and Marnie shares a story shedding some light on why she's afraid of the woods.

One of Marnie's oldest friends, Whitney Willis, sits down on the couch to recount the sordid tale of Nannie Doss, the infamous Lonely Hearts Killer. Whitney and Marnie explain the types of female serial killers and detail Nannie's life and her murders. They also give a shout out to Whitney's dogs and chronicle how hard dragon boating is.

Marnie joins Ashley Mason-Burns-Meerschaert at the Osteology Museum located off of Sunnylane in Oklahoma City for an episode about the study of bones, how to process an animal from death to skeletal articulation, and all of the events that the museum offers to the public. If you love gory details, you won't want to miss this one.

Sumer Wensman joins Marnie to tell the first ever Eerie Okie ghost story. Sumer tells about living in Miami, Oklahoma, while she attended NEO. At NEO, she encountered a spirit that is said to roam the halls of one of the dormitories, recognizable by the sound of her high heels on the tile floor. She also tells about a spirit that seems to have protected her from the lady in heels and several freak incidents that occurred after the initial haunting. 

Photographer Jesse Edgar of the Oklahoma Abandoned project joins Marnie at the Spy studio this week to discuss some dark Oklahoma history centering around Rev. Frank Dolan and St. Vincent's. They discuss the history of the "Bingo King" and devote the final half of the episode to the Oklahoma Abandoned project, where Jesse discusses the historical energy that often inhabits the abandoned places he visits. 

Marnie gets the chance to visit the Stone Lion Inn in Guthrie, Oklahoma, where she sits down with owner Becky Luker in the former funeral home for a chat about the building's haunted history. Becky weaves an enchanting narrative of her fortuitous discovery of the house, the way she found out it was haunted, and what it was like to live there with her kids. She also tells about the murder mystery dinners that the Stone Lion Inn hosts on Friday and Saturday nights. This is one you won't want to miss. 

Rusty Garner from The Buy, Sell, Trade Podcast sits down with Marnie this week to discuss the place where their podcasts connect: haunted objects. They cover some famous cases like Robert the doll and the Dybbuk box, but Marnie also shares a personal story about her time at the funeral home as well as the story of a haunted Furby. Stay tuned to the very end for a special announcement!

Marnie's cousin, Shelbae, joins Marnie on an adventure down to the mission at Sacred Heart. In the episode, they spend some time covering the basic history of the area and the mission and then dive head first into the hauntings and legends surrounding the site. They formulate a fun theory as to what's really going on down there.

This week, Marnie sits down with Glen McDonald from Lexington, Oklahoma. Glen is the owner of Anomalist's Books and Brews, a used bookshop that specializes in true crime and the strange and unusual. Glen shares his experiences with Bigfoot, his thoughts on the Woo, and tells about some upcoming events that are going to be held at Anomalist's. 

Marisa Mohi of YouTube fame is back this week to first discuss which gangsters of the Depression that she would swipe right on. Marnie and Marisa get into a little bit of Pretty Boy Floyd's story, and chronicle the haunted history of the County Line, previously a speakeasy that Floyd hung out at.

Bryce is back to share his knowledge about one of Oklahoma's most infamous true crime cases: the Girl Scout Murders. Marnie and Bryce discuss the crime, the suspect, elements of the case that border on supernatural, and the amazing contributions that the families of the victims made to Oklahoma law. 

This week, Will from Dystopia Rising helps Marnie explore the ways nuclear fallout would affect Oklahoma with the help of an application that shows the blast radius of various sizes of nuclear weapons. Will also explains what LARPing is and how you can roleplay the zombie apocalypse right here in Oklahoma.

KOCO producer Aimee Reece joins Marnie at the Spy studio to talk about the dark history and potential haunting of the Brady Theater in Tulsa. They cover the Tulsa Race Massacre and the life and death of operatic singer Enrico Caruso. They also discuss the potential haunting of the Brady Theater and Aimee gives her impressions from her visits there.

Back in the arena of crime this week, Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt Jennifer Gay sits down with Marnie to discuss predator psychology. They discuss the crime index for Oklahoma City, predators, the phases of an assault (from both strangers and non-strangers), and some psychological self-defense tools that you can take with you. Jennifer is an instructor at Redline Jiu-Jitsu Academy in Edmond, Oklahoma where she teaches self-defense to students of all ages.

Jay joins Marnie this week to discuss the basic history of vampires in folklore. Folklore, film, and literature are covered, as well as our very own Oklahoma City vampire story courtesy of an awesome blog. Marnie also gives some recommendations for further reading about vampire subculture in America.
