Elias gallegos was born and raised in San Diego to parents who are pastors. Throughout his youth he routinely got into trouble and found himself in jail at the age of 16 for armed robbery. As a young adult he become a body guard and kidnapper for drug dealers .... there was a time when he didn’t think he would live to be 30. Now at the age of 45 he is the head of one of the biggest associations in jiu jitsu, the Gallegos jiu Jitsu association, he founded the Alliance Eastlake foundation a 501c3 non profit that mentors, counsels at risk youth, combat veterans with PTSD, female survivors of Rape, and gives free training to local law enforcement, he has two degrees one in theology and the other in counseling.
