The church historically has not been very good with how they interact with people who are "not up to their standards", this includes people from the LGBTQIA+ community.  We talk in this episode about how people from the church should lovingly interact with people who are in this community - with the realization that in the past we have failed.  We go through some scenarios to hear how two guys from the younger generation (22-25) react with each of the scenarios. From the conservative christian perspective, what are the ways a person who identifies as gay can live a holy life?  Can they still serve in the church?  How about interpersonal friendships?  What happens when they need help?  What happens when......you get the picture. Video games have been a point of contention for a while.  They have been blamed for everything from shootings to aggression in teens in school, and anti-social behavior.  We have been told in the news media all the time that this is the case - and every time there is another tragedy involving a gun we almost always hear about what type of video games the shooter played and how video games lead to this.  That being said - what does the science say?  Is it settled?  And ultimately, who is responsible for the action someone takes?  Are there any other things which the games may do which are cause for concern?  Are there any benefits?  We talk about all of this and more. We all "know" that American's are obsessed with purchasing items - but how bad is it really?  Is minimalism the answer?  Is appreciation the answer? Two of the three of us love music (Josh apparently didn't listen to music until he became friends with Aaron) and all three of us play instruments.  Music has been a very integral part of how we perceive the world and our experiences.  We start out playing a game where Josh and Aaron try to determine if a song is a popular secular song or a modern Praise And Worship song. We have a conversation about swearing, cussing and when/if it has a place in our everyday lives/conversations.  We also go back to the basics and talk about just what is language with Josh and Aaron getting minor headaches in the process.
