Peter and his friends get entangled in Silver Sable’s assassination plot, which sticks Spidey into a political spy thriller and proves to be more complicated than anyone thought. Spider-Man has a stalker in an episode that, unfortunately, does not age well in its mishandling of mental health. But it’s a surprisingly fun and well-written episode (from an interesting Buffy writer, no less), including a Harley Quinn-esque performance from Tara Strong as essentially this show’s version of Tinkerer! This is the one that’s basically a Kraven episode, except Kraven is replaced with a lecherous movie producer and a mystical sword lady who literally decapitates a guy.
