Satellite CafeCast on October 11, 2019 for AO-92 @ 11:51pm A solid contact using a Baofeng UV-82 and Nagouya NA-771 whip antenna. It was a chilly 40 degree moonlit night tonight with temperatures dropping below freezing before morning. I thought just maybe I'd have a good chance at making a contact while most hams would be in bed. Sure enough, I had success and made a contact with Larry Jones, NN4H of Nancy, Kentucky. 2-in-1 Satellite CafeCast for 10-09-19 Today I have combined two satellite passes into one CafeCast. AO-92, was a bit disappointing with little activity and seemed like some solar interference of some sort. The most active ham on this pass was Perry Yantis, WB8OTH of Ohio. He was struggling in the beginning trying to get any response. AO-91 occured just over a hour later with lots of activity during the entire pass. AO-91 for October 7, 2019 at 12:17 pm CST Did you try to make some contacts on the amateur radio satellite AO-91 today? I made a recording of the entire pass for you all to hear yourselves. You can tell by the audio of some that they were listening on a radio as they were transmitting. Their signals had that reverb effect as the audio coming out of their secondary radio was picked up in their mic. I know that many of you don't have that luxury and wonder if you are getting out at all.  Amateur Satellites are addicting. I recently built my own VHF Satellite Yagi and am having a ball listening to all the hams working each other on AO-91 and AO-92.
