Little did we know he would go on to be one the most well known and well liked officials the UK has ever produced. ..That very first game was a junior Southampton Vs Richmond game in which he followed that straight up with the seniors. Over the next 33 odd years he went on to officiate 1000s of games including almost 50 cup finals at every level within UK hockey. The next season the BNL folded and the new EPL was born, he moved to the Wildcats and a massive 63 points caught the of the EIHL where he would play over 300 games for the Manchester Phoenix and Glasgow Clan.Also whilst with the Phoenix he played a season in the EPL where he put up 49 goals and 102 points.
