Advanced retouching: OOC Podcast Episode 29

Mark discusses going through the edit process with clients, from out of camera to the final product. He also discusses his workflow, which can sometimes last upwards of four hours per photo, dealing with exposure, healing, dodging, burning and tonal corrections. Located in Chicago, he specializes in both in-studio portraiture, as well as environmental portraits. Mark will also be highlighted at the Out of Chicago Portrait Conference, where he’ll teach both an instructional class titled “Practical Retouching in 90 Minutes,” as well as a post-conference workshop. 09/02/2016 Duración: 50minIn this episode of the Out of Chicago Podcast, we talk to Chris Nicholson, author of Photographing National Parks, about what to expect when shooting the great outdoors, how to prepare and what to bring. He also discusses some of his favorite and most-visited national parks. Nicholson, from Astoria, Queens (N.Y.), started visiting national parks with his family when he was just 1-year-old. He’s been visiting ever since, being published in over 30 magazines and books. He’s photographed Arcadia, the Everglades, Grand Teton, Great Smoky Mountains, Olympic, Shenandoah and Yellowstone parks a combined 26 times, and has visited roughly half of the 59 national parks. Chris is currently working on a project called “National Parks at Night,” with four other photographers, where he hosts photography workshops at five national parks per year — only once.
