Therapists Brittani Kindle (Meant for me Therapy), Tiffany Rowland (Right Choice Therapy), and Ida Clay Samuels join Kimberly Smith and Sir Goodwin Live for Part 1 of the Unapollagetic Podcast series the importance of therapy.  In this introductory and general episode these professionals let us know the differences between a therapist and life coach, break down the financial aspects to receiving therapy, they explain their credentials and more.  Part 2 coming soon as we will dive deep and get serious about mental health. 

Newlyweds David and Keisha Vaughn lent their Black Love story to the unapollagetic podcast and it is no fairy tale. This couple gives you real and raw leading up to holy matrimony and are still working out the kinks. However, their love for one another is unquestioned. Communication and the best interest of their eight children are the driving forces. The Vaughns were lead to one another after their own personal storms. It was great to be in their presence and learn life lessons during this episode. 

Foot and Ankle Surgeon, Dr RaShonda Jones, is a true Diamond in the Rough! Born and raised in the south suburbs of Chicago, she is true to her Markham roots! High praises to her family and friends who have provided a lifelong support system that, Dr. Jones, is most appreciative of.  This self goal-driven woman did not let the hood hold her back, although she lets us know early on [laughing] that she is "a lil hood". Not even parenthood could stop her from reaching her educational goals. It was just another obstacle to overcome. Dr. Jones is not done yet as she has come back to the hood as a doctor, certified fitness instructor, mentor, and has opened up G Studios in the south suburbs to empower young girls and women.

The Lucas Brothers are paving wide lanes to success for themselves and that pathway is going up fast. Privileged to have seen them work when I was at an event and I have been a fan ever since. They explain to us the daily grind of their schedules, working with male vs female clients, and how they are able to reinvent themselves. The Lucas Brothers also give a telling story of being forced to become entrepreneurs. These twin brothers are best friends and creative geniuses. Great show featuring inspiring young Black Men!

The Unapollagetic Podcast Black Love series continues with Julius and Brittany Dease who are the creators of Black Lux Candles. Julius and Brittany were funny throughout this great show. They met online many years ago and have been married for one year. They have both traditional and non-traditonal values that steer their relationship, but communication is the key. They looked (video on unapollagetic facebook page) at one another for affirmation and yielded to one another's feelings. Julius and Brittany talk about their love and their business partnership Black Luxe Candles which is off to a booming start. This show was funny and energetic from the start and displayed Black Love greatly.

What a blessing to be alive for 60 years, but to have a genuine friendship for over 50 is blessings on blessings! Karl, Dennis, and Ricky fit the above description perfectly! Growing up on the near north side of Chicago in like households, going to some of the same schools, and their love of sports glued them as youths. They have been able to maintain that same youthfulness 50 years later. Their relationships and health have been tested, but their bond is still strong! The love for their mothers and children shine bright on these family oriented best friends!
