In Episode 6 we take a look at how modernizing your application will require new tooling and new ways of working. Taking advantage of today's open source tools like Kubernetes and Tekton will require collaboration and allow for agility across your dev teams. And even your security teams will be impacted as they work in this new, container focused environment.

Episode 5 takes a deeper look at re-factoring your apps in the new paradigm of cloud native apps. While re-factoring is often perceived as being basic maintenance work, the opportunities to be creative and re-think how your application is designed and flows is actually very exciting! It's not just about lifting and shifting an application, application modernization can make your development teams more nimble and agile.

In Episode 4 let's take a closer look at the need to secure your applications and data in the modern application environment. From Kubernetes to OpenShift, we will discuss concerns and tooling to help you mitigate vulnerabilities, identify attack surfaces and do threat modeling. While cloud-native apps afford for a lot more flexibility, the complexity calls for stronger compliance and security tools.

In episode 3, we look into the importance of containers and standards to improve the portability of your apps. However once your applications are containerized, a need for orchestration tools become readily apparent due to the complexity of this new, cloud-first architecture.

In episode 2, we take a look at the different architectures used to support applications and the rationale for moving from legacy apps to a modern architecture. We'll also discuss how your developer team will need to adapt and shift to this new programming paradigm. While modernizing your applications will bring more complexity to the architecture, it will also allow for more innovation, flexibility and standardization.
