Sinopsis

The witch is going on strike unless her demands are met in THE HALLOWEEN THAT ALMOST WASN'T, a.k.a. THE NIGHT DRACULA SAVED THE WORLD, an award-winning holiday special from 1979 that aired on the Disney Channel every year until the mid-1990s. It's a goofy short that stars Judd Hirsch as Dracula, Mariette Hartley as The Witch and Henry Gibson as Igor, and to some of us, it's a nostalgic classic. But was it... CANCELED TOO SOON? This Halloween special may not have been a pilot for a television series but it used to play in heavy rotation each October, and now it's hard to find. Film critics William Bibbiani and Witney Seibold are taking a look back at THE HALLOWEEN THAT ALMOST WASN'T to see it lives up to its reputation, or if it's just too ridiculous to work as entertainment today.
