The ArtistBorn in the small town of Ozark, Alabama, she enjoyed singing for her family. She hails from a strong religious background; her father was a noted minister while her mother was a well-respected missionary. With deep gospel roots her yearning to sing thrived. Today, her love for Gospel has awarded her many opportunities to minister through music, and has led Voncile Belcher to peruse her fourth solo project.In 1968, Voncile moved her family to Rochester, New York. There she became affiliated with the City of Rochester Mass Choir, which was her first opportunity to perform on a professional level.In 1974, she and her family returned to Ozark, Alabama. There she was introduced to Gospel Music Workshop of America – Alabama Chapter. This association would prove to be the catalyst to her first recording venture. With the Harris Temple Church of God in Christ, under the direction of Keith Ellison, she recorded and sang lead vocals on “Do You Know Who Jesus Is” which became a blessing and inspiration to m
