Sinopsis

Each year Auckland Libraries works with scholars from the Auckland History Initiative (AHI), a research collaboration at the University of Auckland. In this series we present research projects from the 2023 Summer Scholars exploring aspects of Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland's history. https://ahi.auckland.ac.nz/ In this track we hear from Samuel Turner-O’Keeffe Although significant improvements have been made to Auckland's public transport system over recent decades, commuting throughout the city remains frustrating and inefficient. Sam asks the question - How did we get ourselves into this situation? Samuel Turner-O’Keeffe's research was supported by an Auckland Library Heritage Trust John Stacpoole Scholarship.
