I was lucky enough to be resident DJ at both in the mid-90's. The Sunday session was part of "The Vauxhall Shuffle" - the Sunday ritual of The Royal Vauxhall Tavern at lunchtime for the show by drag legend Adrella, followed by The Market Tavern (at the time the only venue in the country to legally serve booze out of regular pub hours - because it was supposed to be for the New Covent Garden Market workers haha. The venue was notorious for the food it had to serve to validate the license). On close at 7pm everyone would pile back into the RVT for the evening session and show by another drag legend Regina Fong. R.I.P. both Adrella and Regina.
