Sinopsis
Although he was born with one hand, Tony Memmel knew that the calling on his life was music. After eight YEARS of building a cast that would allow him to adaptively play not only has Tony’s music taken off (allowing him to play all over the country) but he is also touring speaking to kids with hand/limb-differences and encouraging them to make music a part of their lives. In this interview we talk about what Tony learned from his parents about grit, why we have to guard, protect, and fight for our gifts, and how by giving to others we are always refilled. One thing Tony said that really hit home for me was that difficult times either “distract you or refocus you”. Let us know your thoughts on this episode by finding us on Facebook at Unconventional Leaders. QUESTIONS ASKED: How do you teach your children grit? (7:12) Did you ever deal with anger or bitterness? (8:30) How did you make it as a musician? (11:00) What is your favorite lyric you have written? (19:00) What does it feel like to inspire others?
