Yeshiva League Sports Update

Thanks Nachum! Straight ahead on the Tuesday Morning JM in the AM Sports Update, the Saracheck Tournament caps off our Winter Sports coverage. Good morning, I'm Elliot Weiselberg. Twenty-four teams converged on Yeshiva University this past weekend to vie for one of the three tier championships at the 2023 Red Saracheck Memorial Basketball Tournament. Eight Yeshiva League teams were among the participants including last week's League championship combatants North Shore and Frisch. Unfortunately for both teams, neither would reach the final, however, the league was well-represented on Championship Monday. In the Tier III Championship, JEC upended Kohelet 52-42. The Thunder shook off a Day 1 loss to Fuchs Mizrachi to take victories over Maimo and Mesivta of Greater Philadelphia to reach the final. Yosef Heller took home the MVP for the Tier. Tier II saw DRS fall to that same Fuchs Mizrachi team. DRS found itself in Tier two following a qualifier loss to Magen David to begin the t
