In 2013, she was interviewed by the producers of "The Invisible War (2011)," a documentary on sexual abuse culture in the US military. Her interview was featured in the follow-up film "The Hunting Ground (2015)" about survivors of sexual assault on college campuses. In 2016, she was invited by Lady Gaga and Joe Biden to the Academy Awards to promote the documentary and raise further awareness on a global stage. This was a history-making moment that shone a light on survivors and became a turning point in the Me Too Era. Being a part of it taught Ibis how empathy, and listening to stories of those in marginalized communities can create real lasting change.
