Falls in business prices in March and higher jobless claims raised hopes that the Federal Reserve could be close to the end of interest rate hikes. Investors now await the release of earnings results from major banks on Friday. Shares in Netflix rose 4.6% on a broker upgrade. Shares in Amazon rose 4.7%.
