In today’s episode of Hashtag Health we are joined by Dr. Marnin Heisel, a clinical psychologist and Professor at Western University. He has worked extensively to prevent suicide among older adults and has developed Meaning-Centered Men’s Groups (MCMG) to enhance the well being and psychological resiliency of this vulnerable population. He shares his thoughts on challenging ageist norms, the particular mental health challenges that older men face and how the MCMG can reduce depression and suicidal ideation.
