This week's topic was a doozy - but we were up for the challenge, as we picked our way through The Best and Worst Years for Movies, courtesy of Patreon Andrew Johnson.  Some years achieve legendary status right away, like the annus mirabilis of 1999; some grow their reputation with age and respectability, like the Hollywood golden epoch of 1939. Some years, there are pandemics and/or major industry-wide strikes, and people just plain stop putting out movies, except from some real dogs that nobody wanted to see anyways.
