Today, I'm kicking off a new Series, Joey's Comedy Career Journey Series, with Full House S1E16: But Seriously Folks, which aired on February 5, 1988. In this episode Joey's convinced that his comic debut in front of a talent scout is jinxed. I liked this episode, as it had a valuable lesson for both Joey and DJ. Joey's ready for his big night at the comedy club, with the possibility of being discovered by a talent scout from HBO looking for the next up and coming comic to give them their big break, an HBO Comedy Special. Sadly Phyllis Diller happens to be in the audience right as Joey's ready to take the stage, and boy is he upstaged since he never makes it up there and of course the audience is all laughed out once she leaves, also leaving is the HBO Talent Scout.
