The Anaheim Ducks finished the 2014-15 season just one game away from getting to the Stanley Cup Final. So one might expect the Ducks to not do much this off season right? Wrong.On day one of the NHL draft the Ducks traded Kyle Palmieri to the New Jersey Devils for a 41st pick and a draft pick for the 2016 draft. The trade was made on Friday June 26th, but declared official on the 27th because Palmieri was out of the country and not able to be reached immediately.Then early on the morning of day two of the draft the Ducks made two more trades. They sent Emerson Etem and their newly acquired second round pick (41st overall) to the New York Rangers for winger Carl Hagelin, a second round pick (59th overall), and a sixth round pick (179th overall). In their final deal of the day, the Ducks traded James Wisniewski to the Carolina Hurricanes for goaltender Anton Khudobin.On day one of the draft the Ducks selected Swedish defenseman Jacob Larsson.
