D’Arcy Carden is proof that breaking through in the biz usually requires years of studying the craft of acting, practicing resilience amid rejection, and getting by with survival gigs. After graduating from Southern Oregon University and moving to New York City, D’Arcy was “equal parts delusional and also confident,” she says.
