A wealthy American purchases a set of rare rubies for his daughter from an underground seller in Paris. While in Paris, two men attempt to rob him while he is carrying the jewels, but he scares them off. Upon giving the precious jewels to his daughter, he convinces her to divorce her money hungry husband and warns her to place the jewels in a bank vault before leaving for her planned trip to the Riviera. A young man traveling from New York City to Florida to stop his brother's sudden wedding on behalf of his family finds himself in the company of a young woman with the same mission.- to stop her sister from getting married.
