Making assumptions about your potential clients may hurt your marketing. In this episode of the Market Like a Boss podcast, I talk about what assumptions most people make about their audience and how to stop making them.  Here are the TOP assumptions I usually hear: People aren’t interested. My messaging sucks. My ideal clients can't afford me. If I post about my success, people are going to judge me and think I’m bragging. The biggest problem with making assumptions is that it's a reflection of what you think... NOT what your audience thinks. It's more about you rather than your potential clients.  Ask yourself: What assumptions are you making right now? What part of you believes that they are true?  When you make assumptions, you look for evidence to support them. It's called confirmation bias. If you believe something, you will operate from the lens of that belief - which means you’ll find plenty of evidence to support it. This doesn't make your assumptions true, though.
