Locked On Red Sox

The Red Sox opened up a 6-game road trip after the All-Star break with the first of 3 against the Dodgers Friday night at Dodger Stadium and lost a 4-1 decision.  The Red Sox led 1-0 going to the bottom of the 8th inning, but Freddie Freeman gave LA its first lead, hitting a grand slam off reiever Brennan Bernardino.  Nick Pivetta turned in a strong performance, and exited with a 1-0 lead, but he ended up with a no-decision.  Pivetta gave up just 2 hits in tossing 6 innings of shutout baseball.  He walked only 1 and struck out 8, including Shohei Ohtani 3 times.    Jarren Duran, coming off being named as the Ted Williams MVP at the All-Star Game Tuesday night in Arlington, Texas, got the Red Sox on the board with a solo Home Run in the 5th inning.  It came off Dodgers starting pitcher Gavin Stone and was his 11th of the season.  It would turn out to be the only run of the night for the Sox against Stone and 4 relievers.    Zack Kelly worked around a walk in tossing a scoreless 7th inning.  Kelly walked the le
