The Red Sox lost their starting pitcher, James Paxton, in the 1st inning and the Sox lost the series finale to the Astros, 10-2, Sunday afternoon at Fenway Park. The Red Sox have been swept at home for the 2nd straight year in an August series against the Astros and for the 4th time this season. -----Short Outing for The Big Maple: James Paxton allowed a single to leadoff hitter Jose Altuve on the 1st pitch of the game. Paxton had 2 outs on just 2 pitches with Alex Bregman hitting into a ground ball double play on the 1st pitch that he saw from Paxton. Next hitter, Yordan Alvarez reached on an infield single, but on the play, Paxton went to cover 1st and came up hobbling. He left the game having thrown only 5 pitches and was barely able to put any weight on his right leg. Red Sox announced that Paxton suffered a right calf strain. -----On the Board: Astros got their 1st run of the game in the 3rd when Mauricio Dubon scored from 3rd on a wild pitch from Brennan Bernardino. Astros added on with 5 run
