Locked On Red Sox

The Red Sox dropped a 2-1 decision to the Detroit Tigers Saturday night at Commerica Park.  The Series is even at 1-1 with the finale coming Sunday afternoon.  The Red Sox managed just 1 run against Tarik Skubal, who went 8 Innings and notched his 16th win. Nick Pivetta pitched well in his outing, but ended up with the loss  -----2-Out Magic: Tyler O'Neill got the Red Sox on the board 1st with a 2-out solo Home Run in the Top of the 1st Inning against Tigers starting pitcher Tarik Skubal.  It was O'Neill's 25th Home Run of the season and just his 3rd in the month of August.  Skubal had not allowed a Home Run in his previous 3 outings.  -----Nick's Night- Nick Pivetta, coming off recording 10 strikeouts in working in relief in the completion of the suspended game against the Blue Jays this past Monday at Fenway, made the start Saturday night.  Pivetta was staked to the early 1-0 lead in the 1st Inning. He gave up 3 straight hits including a pair of Doubles and that resulted in the Tigers taking the lead with 2
