Locked On Red Sox

The Red Sox opened up their 3-Game Series against the Mets and dropped the opener, 4-1, Monday night at Citi Field.  The Sox have dropped 3 in a row and are 2 games over .500 for the 1st time since June 16 when they improved to 37-35 with a win over the Yankees.  The Sox are also 1-3 on their current Road Trip that has 2 more games remaining in Queens.                   -----Scuffling at the Dish: Sox collected 6 hits (5 Singles & 1 Triple) in Monday's loss.  Sox have gone 14 straight games without collecting 10 or more hits in a game.  Club has Single-Digit hit totals in 21 of its last 26 Games.      -----Bello's Night:  Brayan Bello, coming off 8 scoreless innings in his last outing against the Blue Jays, made the start in the opener against the Mets Monday night.  Bello gave up a run in the 2nd Inning, 1 more in the 3rd and 2 in the 4th Inning.  Bello took the loss and is now 12-7 on the year.  Bello has now allowed 4 Earned Runs or more in 9 starts this season.  The Sox are now 17-9 in his 26 starts.
