The linebackers and assistant coach Al Washington spoke to reporters this week, which provided a little more info about a position where the top four players from a year ago are gone. So the guys talked about the Buckeyes most likely to play at linebacker. But at the suggestion of a text subscriber, that expanded into a discussion of the 11 defenders most likely to play if the Buckeyes had a College Football Playoff game right now. So they provided an 11-man defense on first down and an 11-man defense on third-and-long if the Buckeyes were facing Alabama, Clemson, Oklahoma, Georgia or USC in a playoff game.
