This is the classic 1938 and 1942 Arch Oboler tale that was re-adapted in 1962 for a Halloween audio collection called Drop Dead.   This may be the actual 1942 broadcast with a new intro from Oboler or it could be entirely new. This is an episode about a chicken heart that grows and grows as it consumes the planet and all mankind in an epic doomsday tale.
