Michele Gillen is an independent investigative reporter and filmmaker following more than two decades with the CBS station in Miami and more than three decades in television news. She has been awarded 38 regional television Emmys for work largely illuminating issues that are hard to bring to the screen, such as inmates suffering from mental illness in our jails; child exploitation; Elder abuse; the trafficking of women and the tears in the system that allow the vulnerable to be forgotten or silenced. Michele is presently involved in producing her first long form documentary which involves a hidden chapter in the Holocaust.  And, one of her great passions is a project called “The Woman's Table” which Michele will tell us all about.
