MMA Legend and UFC Hall of Famer Frink Trigg joins us today on Episode 45 of Airey Bros. Radio. With 30 Mixed Martial Arts fights in his career and a record of 21 wins & 9 losses, Trigg was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame for his legendary fight at UFC 52 against Matt Hughes. During his MMA career Frank also won the World Fighting Alliance (WFA) Welterweight title as well as the Icon Sport Middleweight title and is a veteran of the Pride Fighting Championship and Rumble on the Rock. Since finishing his MMA career, Trigg has stayed involved with the sport of MMA as a Referee and when he’s not officiating Frank is hard at work in Hollywood as and actor & stunt performer. In this episode we discussed Frank’s amateur wrestling career, how that led him to fighting in a cage. He tells us how Big John McCarthy “encouraged” him to give being a Referee a try and what it’s like to be in the cage with a different job.
