Hunger in America exists for nearly 49 million people. That is 1 in 6 of the U.S. population. 16 Million of those people are children who go to sleep hungry everyday. Proper nutrition is vital to the growth and development of  a child.  Increase proverty levels have some only eating whatever they can get at school and participate in a summer feeding program that provides free food when school is out.
