El 2020 terminó, pese a todo, con una buena noticia para el mundo del jazz mexicano. La Orquesta Nacional de Jazz de México dio a conocer la convocatoria para el Primer Premio Jazz Joven, con el objetivo de impulsar el talento de jóvenes jazzeros y con el reto de conformarse como un premio estable en el país.
