The Red Sox avoided being swept the Toronto Blue Jays with a 4-3, 10-inning win in the series finale Thursday afternoon at Fenway Park. The Sox lose their 1st series of the season against the Jays but managed to go 4-3 on their 1st homestand. Trevor Story brought in pinch-runner David Hamilton from 3rd base with the winning run on a slow roller that Andres Gimenez could not field and throw home on. It's the Red Sox 2nd walk-off win of the season. -----To Err is Human: The Red Sox committed 2 more errors in the series finale. Trevor Story's throwing error in the 7th allowed the go-ahead run to score.
