Jack Flaherty started on the mound for the Tigers and was brilliant tossing 5.1 shutout innings while striking out 9. Tyler Holton gave up a two-run home run to Ben Rice, while Aaron Judge hit a two-run single off John Brebbia to make it 4-0 in the 9th. Colt Keith made a costly error in that ninth inning that kept the inning alive for the New York Yankees.
