Locked On Red Sox

The Red Sox suffered a 16-1 drubbing to the Tampa Bay Rays at George M. Steinbrenner Field in the opening game of their 3-game series Monday night.  The Red Sox are now 2-4 in the 1st game of a series through their 1st 6 series of the season. The Rays scored 14 of their runs over the 1st 3 Innings, including 9 runs in the 3rd Inning.  The Rays hit 4 Home Runs in the lopsided win, including 2 from Kameron Misner.  -----It Wasn't Pretty: Tanner Houck made his 4th start of the season in the opener Monday night and did not make it out of the 3rd Inning. Houck gave up a leadoff Home Run on the 1st pitch that he threw to Yandy Diaz to start off the home 1st-Inning. Houck came back and retired the next 3 hitters on 8 pitches. Houck gave up 4 runs in the 2nd and allowed his 2nd Home Run of the game, a 2-run shot to Kameron Misner.  The Rays scored 9 runs in the 3rd off Houck and Michael Fulmer, who was making his Red Sox debut. #89's Line: 2.1 IP. 10 Hits. 12 R. 11 ER. 2 BB. 1 K. 2 HR Allowed.
