The Red Sox closed out their road trip with a disappointing 4-2 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays Thursday night at Rogers Centre in Toronto. Vladimir Guerrero Jr hit a 3-run Home Run in the Bottom of the 8th Inning off Justin Slaten to give the Blue Jays their 1st lead of the night. The Red Sox went 3-3 on their trip through Cleveland and Toronto. The Red Sox are now 2-5 on the season against the Jays. -----Tanner's Night: Tanner Houck turned in his best performance of the season in the series finale Thursday night. He departed the game with a 2-1 lead but took another no-decision and his still looking for his 1st win of 2025. Houck gave up just 1 run over 7 Innings of work. He walked no one and struck out 6. Houck tossed 6 scoreless innings before allowing a solo Home Run to Daulton Varsho in the 7th. Houck managed to get the final 2 outs in the 7th to complete his longest outing of the season. It was Varsho's 2nd Home Run of the series and his 2nd career Home Run off Houck. 0-2 1-5 -----On the Board 1
