The Red Sox returned to Fenway Park Friday night and opened up their longest homestand of the season with a 4-2 loss to the Atlanta Braves. The Red Sox have lost 4 in a row and are now 2 under .500 at 22-24. With the win, the Braves are a game over .500 for the 1st time this season. Chris Sale gave up 1 ER over 7 impressive innings and he picked up the win against his former team. ----- Crochet Day- Garrett Crochet once again made a mound start for the Red Sox after the club had lost the prior game. Crochet gave up back-to-back solo Home Runs to Matt Olson and Sean Murphy to open up the 2nd Inning. Crochet struck out the side in the 1st Inning. The Red Sox are now 6-4 in Crochet's 1st 10 starts. Crochet drops to 4-3 despite giving up 2 earned runs or less for the 8th time this season. ----- Don't Walk This Way- Liam Hendriks and Brennan Bernardino combined for 5 walks in the 9th Inning as the Braves came up with 2 insurance runs.
