Sinopsis
The Red Sox (30-34) got a 2-run Home Run around the Pesky Pole from Ceddanne Rafaela in the Bottom of the 9th Inning and the Sox took the finale, 11-9, over the Los Angeles Angels at Fenway Park Wednesday afternoon. It was Rafaela's 3rd Home Run of the series. With the win, the Red Sox avoid being swept by the Angels and it's their 13th come-back win of 2025. Cooper Criswell earned the win out of the bullpen. ----- Nothing From Giolito: Lucas Giolito got beat up over 1.2 Innings in his start against the Angels Wednesday afternoon. Giolito allowed the 1st 5 to reach in the 1st Inning and the righty and the Sox were down 4-0 after 4 batters with Taylor Ward hitting a 3-run Home Run. After the Sox put up 5 in the Bottom of the 1st, Giolito gave up extra-base hits to the 1st 3 hitters in the 2nd and the Red Sox lead was short-lived. Giolito gave up 7 earned runs over 1.2 innings. He allowed 8 hits, 6 extra-base hits. It's the 3rd time in 7 starts where Giolito gave up 6 or more earned runs in an outing. -----
