Locked On Red Sox

The Red Sox (37-36) never trailed in beating the Yankees, 2-0, Sunday afternoon in front of 36,475 at Fenway Park. With the win, the Red Sox finish off their 2nd series sweep of the season, both at Fenway. The Sox have won 5 in a row, 7 of 8 and 8 of 10.  The Red Sox are a game above .500 for the 1st time since May 24 (27-26 after win over the Orioles in opener of a Double Header). -----Bello on the Bump: Brayan Bello made the start in the series finale at Fenway on Sunday and picked up his 1st victory since April 27 on the road against the Guardians.  Bello allowed only 3 hits over 7 scoreless innings. He walked 3 and struck out 8, including Aaron Judge 3 times.  Bello has now allowed 2 earned runs or less 6 times this season.  The Sox improved to 6-5 in Bello's 11 starts and had been 0-3 in his previous 3 outings.-----Milestone for Raffy: Rafael Devers made it 2-0 Red Sox with a solo Home Run off Max Fried in the 5th Inning.
