The Red Sox (35-36) opened up their 3-game series against the Yankees with a 2-1, 10-Inning victory in front of a sellout crowd of 36,622 Friday night at Fenway Park. Carlos Narvaez ended it with a 2-out RBI Single in the Home 10th. It's the 7th walk-off win this season for the Sox. Boston's won 3 in a row for the 1st time since late April, 5 of 6 and 6 of 8. -----Crochet Day: Garrett Crochet made his 2nd straight start against the Yankees in Friday night's opener. It was his best start of the season for the Red Sox. Crochet took a 1-0 lead to the top of the 9th Inning. He retired the leadoff hitter Ben Rice on a groundout. He then gave up a game-tying Home Run to Aaron Judge on a 3-2 pitch that was a 99 mile-an-hour fastball. Crochet had struck out Judge 3 times on the night and in all 6 at-bats this season before giving up the homer. Crochet gave way to Aroldis Chapman and ended up with a no-decision.
