This week, Travis is joined by John, aka Devo, to talk about the 1986 mystery The Name of the Rose. Starring Sean Connery, Christian Slater, F. Murray Abraham, and Michael Lonsdale. Based on the novel by Umberto Eco, two Franciscan Friars arrive at a remote abby in the north of Italy to investigate the death of one of the monks ahead of a debate with an envoy of the Pope. But when more monks end up dead, there is more going on than simple accidents. So, is this a bit of a cult classic, or does it belong on the list of lesser period films?
