The Red Sox (53-46) season-high 10-game win streak came to an end with a 4-1 setback to the Cubs Friday afternoon at Wrigley Field in Chicago. The Sox 3-game road win streak also ended. The Sox went 1-for-6 with runners on base and left 8 runners on base against 6 Cubs pitchers. -----Going with Gio: Lucas Giolito made the start in the 1st game out of the All-Star Break Friday afternoon. Giolito, who turned 31 on Monday, walked the 1st 2 batters of the game and then gave up a 3-run Home Run to Seiya Suzuki. Giolito ended up allowing 4 earned runs over 5.1 Innings and took his 1st loss since May 6th at home vs. the Texas Rangers. The Sox are 9-5 in his 14 outings.
